About Us
.

Our church is a loving, nurturing church.  Our services are traditional and spiritually uplifting.  We have wonderful Sabbath School classes for all of the children’s divisions and two adult classes each week.  After services we have a visitor’s potluck lunch every Sabbath.  Many of our members stay as well, so you will meet new friends and have pleasant conversations.  When you come to visit our church you will receive a warm welcome into our family!

As each Sabbath draws to a close we gather back at the church one hour before sunset for Vespers.  We have a musically oriented program each week.  A devotional, sometimes a special passage read from a book, and sometimes a personal testimony is given each week.  We also have a Bible game during each weekly Vespers program.  We have a tradition here at White House SDA Church as well.  After Vespers a large group, usually everyone who came for Vespers, goes out to eat at one of the nearby restaurants.  We enjoy eating, yes, but the more important reason for this tradition is the wonderful Christian fellowship we share together!  Come join us anytime!

If you are able to come during the week, we have a spiritually uplifting Prayer Meeting on Wednesday evenings at 6:45pm.  We would love to see you here each week.

Although we do not have a church school of our own, we do have three church schools and two academies within 20 miles of White House.  Highland Elementary and
Highland Academy are located in Portland, TN, just 12 miles from our church. Ridgetop Adventist Elementary School is just 11 miles from our church. Madison Campus Elementary and Madison Academy are just 20 miles from the White House SDA Church.  We have a student subsidy program for members of our church so that their children can attend any of these schools.

If you are moving to the Middle Tennessee area, please consider moving to White House!  Our area is very convenient to Nashville and all that the city has to offer, yet we are still pretty much out in the country.  If you already live in the area, please come visit our church!  Once you come you won’t want to leave!

Our Relocation Project

In January of 1967 the White House SDA company came into existence with just a handful of members. On July 8, 1967 the company became an official Seventh day Adventist church with 34 charter members. Mrs. Lottie Tinnin had donated Land for the church. In September of 1969 with dedication, hard work and a lot of faith the charter members built the church themselves. On May 30, 1970 the church was dedicated – DEBT FREE.

At that time it seemed like a big church, built to hold about 125 members, and they had faith that God would help them to fill it! Over the years God did help our church to grow and to flourish. In1979 we were able to buy an additional 1.25 acres of land next to the church. In 1994 the gymnasium / fellowship hall was built. It was not long before our church was bursting at the seams. On March 31, 2001 we relocated the sanctuary and two classrooms to the larger gymnasium. The original church was renovated to add classrooms and a fellowship hall.

The decision was made to look for property on which to build a new church since the current property is too small to build a larger church on. We found a great property, approximately 15 acres, about half a mile south of our current church! We have not grown to the point where we are bursting at the seams again, but there is a sense of urgency to take the next step forward. We are now in the beginning stages of picking out a floor plan and will proceed as quickly as possible towards the building of our new church facility.

You Are Invited!

Building a church in this day of impact fees, building permits, Architects, building codes, soil testing, contractors, etc, is an expensive leap of faith. When the old church was built, none of these things was necessary, and the members built the church themselves.

If you would like to be part of our relocation project by supporting us financially, you can go to our Online Giving page and make your contribution. You may use either a credit card, a debit card, or electronic check.

We have faith that God will make it possible for us to start building very soon. Thank you for your willingness to give of your means to help us with this project.

About Seventh-day Adventists

Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. More >>
